Project Terms and Payment

All projects begin with a detailed scope of work that outlines deliverables, timeline, and costs. Any changes to the original scope may result in additional charges.

Payment Terms

• A 50% deposit is required before project commencement
• Final payment is due upon project completion and delivery
• Payment methods include bank transfer, mobile money, or cash
• Late payments may incur additional charges

Timeline

Project timelines are estimates and may be affected by client feedback, content delivery, and scope changes. We strive to meet all agreed deadlines.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

• Providing accurate project requirements and specifications
• Supplying content, images, and materials in a timely manner
• Providing prompt feedback during the development process
• Ensuring all provided content is legally owned or properly licensed
• Making payments according to the agreed schedule

Intellectual Property

Client Content

Clients retain ownership of all content, images, and materials provided to us. By providing content, clients grant us a license to use these materials for the project.

Developed Work

Upon full payment, clients will own the final website/application and its source code. However, Kico Web Design retains the right to:

• Use the project in our portfolio and marketing materials
• Retain proprietary tools, frameworks, and methodologies
• Use general knowledge and skills gained during the project

Warranties and Limitations

Service Warranty

We warrant that our services will be performed with professional skill and care. We provide a 30-day warranty period for bug fixes after project delivery.

Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for our services. We are not responsible for:

• Third-party services or software failures
• Data loss due to hosting or external factors
• Business losses or indirect damages
• Issues arising from client-provided content or specifications

Website Maintenance and Support

Ongoing maintenance and support services are available separately. Basic support includes:

• Minor content updates
• Security updates
• Performance monitoring
• Technical support

Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement with written notice. In case of termination:

• Client pays for work completed to date
• All work-in-progress materials are delivered to client
• Confidential information remains protected

Confidentiality

We maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client information and business details. We will not disclose client information to third parties without explicit consent.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, internet outages, or government regulations.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. Any disputes will be resolved through negotiation or mediation in Kampala, Uganda.
